Summary

There are three rules Brooke Sullivan must follow as a new nurse practitioner at a men’s maximum-security prison:

1) Treat all prisoners with respect。

2) Never reveal any personal information。

3) Never EVER become too friendly with the inmates。

But none of the staff at the prison knows Brooke has already broken the rules。 Nobody knows about her intimate connection to Shane Nelson, one of the penitentiary’s most notorious and dangerous inmates。

And they certainly don’t know that Shane was Brooke’s high school sweetheart—the star quarterback who is now spending the rest of his life in prison for a series of grisly murders。 Or that Brooke's testimony was what put him there。

But Shane knows。

And he will never forget。

4。5 starsHoly crap on a cracker!!! I know it shouldn't be a surprise to me that I loved a Freida McFadden book, but I get excited every single time! The Inmate just came out, and I devoured it in a few hours! I love her writing style, how she presents the story and how fast paced it is。 The short chapters keep you engaged, and the flow of the plot is amazing! Absolutely fabulous read! And the plot twists - I thought I had it all figured out, considering I know Freida's style, so I try to stay on 4。5 starsHoly crap on a cracker!!! I was WRONG, and I couldn't be happier about it! And the epilogue? Chef's kiss! 💜If you haven't yet read this, don't miss it! I dropped 2 other books I had started reading over the weekend to start and finish this one! And now I realise I've used a lot of exclamation marks on this review, but that's how excited I am! 😊😍 。。。more

I love Freida McFadden and her books so much。 Everyone I’ve read, and I’ve read almost all of them, is a knock out of the park。 This was a real page turner。 This was twisty and entertaining。 I can’t wait to devour what she puts out next!。I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review。

Freida never ceases to amaze me with every new book she puts out。 THE INMATE is no exception。 I love Freida’s writing style。 I love how she drops little nuggets of information throughout the story that may not make much sense at the time, but just wait! EVERYTHING always makes sense at the end。 Her witty sense of humor sprinkled throughout is always fun! Be prepared to have your eyes glued to every page because that’s what happens when you pick up one of her books! THE INMATE releases June 13, 2022。 Thank you so much to the author for the e-ARC! 。。。more
